Info: Masterson started acting before the age of ten, when she appeared in The Stepford Wives (1975) in 1975 with her father. She went on to focus on her studies, and didn't reappear in films until 1985's Heaven Help Us. Since then, she's appeared in a number of movies and television series.

She is well known for her role in the 1987 teenage drama Some Kind of Wonderful. In 1989, she played a teenage girl giving up her first baby to a wealthy couple in Chances Are. She received a "Best Supporting Actress" award from the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures for this role.

Other famous roles include Fried Green Tomatoes, Benny and Joon and Bed of Roses.

Attended Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center in upstate New York with actors Robert Downey, Jr. and Jon Cryer.

Was nominated for Broadway's 2003 Tony Award as Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) for a revival of "Nine The Musical."

Listed as one of twelve "Promising New Actors of 1987" in John Willis' Screen World, Vol. 39.

Where Are They Now: In 2007, Masterson turned to directing and made her feature film directorial debut with The Cake Eaters.

It premiered at the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival as well as the Ashland Independent Film Festival and received the Audience Award - Dramatic Feature prize in 2008.

Masterson has also narrated a number of audiobooks, including I See You Everywhere by Julia Glass, Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell, and Look Again by Lisa Scottoline.

She appeared as Denise Cabe in a few episodes of the TV series Mercy. She played Beth Cooper in an episode of Touch (2012), and Rachel Keyser in a 2013 episode of the series The Good Wife.
