Claim To Fame: She is best known for her roles in films like Total Recall and Con Air.

Family Life: In 1983, Ticotin married actor David Caruso, with whom she had a daughter, Greta, born June 1, 1984. In 1989, she divorced Caruso and has been married to Peter Strauss since 1998.

Info: Ticotin made her film debut in 1978's King of the Gypsies. Her big break came in 1981 when she was cast as Isabella opposite Paul Newman in the movie Fort Apache, The Bronx. In 1983, she appeared in a regular role on NBC's television drama Love and Honor.

Her other television credits include Ohara (1987), Women on the Inside (1991), Crime & Punishment (1993), and Gargoyles (1994).

She appreared in several movies in the late 1980s and 1990s, including Critical Condition (1986), Total Recall (1990), Where The Day Takes You (1992), Falling Down (1993), Don Juan DeMarco (1995), and Con Air (1997).

Trivia: Her sister, Nancy Ticotin, is also an actress.

Her brother, Sahaj, is a musician and the lead singer for his rock group, Ra.

Grew up in the Bronx, where she received her primary and secondary education.

Her parents enrolled her in the Ballet Hispanico of New York where she took ballet lessons.

Trained as a ballet dancer before she began acting.

Where Are They Now: In the early 2000s, Ticotin has appeared in Man on Fire (2004) as Mariana and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005). She appeared as Vangie Gonzalez Taylor in the second season of PBS's television series American Family. She also appeared on the second season of the ABC series Lost as the mother of mother of Michelle Rodriguez's character Ana Lucia Cortez.

In September 2010, she joined that cast of the NBC legal drama, Law & Order: Los Angeles as Lt. Arleen Gonzales in place of Wanda De Jesus, who originally portrayed the role. Ticotin reshot the scenes originally done by De Jesus. She appeared in a recent episode of the TV series Blue Bloods as Carmen Castillo.
