Where Is He Now: Larry Wilcox (Actor) as Jon - CHiPs.
Updated: 1/14/2007
Name: Larry Wilcox
Born: August 8, 1947 in San Diego, California
Claim To Fame: Larry has had many roles in a long career, but there is no doubt he will always be known as Jon from the TV series 'CHiPs.'
Family Life: Marlene Harmon (April 1986 - present) 2 children
Hannie Strasser (April 1980 - 1982) (divorced) 1 child
Judy Vagner (March 1969 - 1978) (divorced) 2 children
Larry's two oldest children from his 10-year marriage to Judy Vagner are Derek and Heidi. Daughter Wendy is from his marriage to second wife Hannie Strasser.
His two youngest children, Ryan and Chad, were born to him and his current wife Marlene Harmon, who was once a member of the 1980 Olympic Heptathalon Team.
Info: Rumors of friction began to surface between Larry and co-star Erik
Estrada late in the 1978-79 season on the "CHiPS" set. When Erik Estrada married
late in 1979, Larry was not invited. Larry married his second wife four months later and returned the
compliment. Ironically, even though Larry and Erik didn't get along "back in the
day", they still keep in touch.
Trivia: He has a total of five children from his 3 marriages.
Served
in the U.S. Marines.
Was a contender for the role of James "Sonny" Crockett in Miami Vice, but lost
the part to Don Johnson.
Is a spokesman for Fibromylgia.
Was up for the Nick Nolte role in the miniseries "Rich Man, Poor Man".
His only sister (he had two other brothers) was slain in front of her three
children and her own mother in Wyoming. Her husband was accused of the murder
but acquitted in a celebrated trial. He was subsequently killed in a barroom
brawl.
In February 1999, founded the UC HUB Group, Inc. UC HUB delivers solutions for
communications needs, including connectivity, content, and commerce. UC HUB's
vision of an interconnected Digital Community, where all can benefit from the
enhanced quality of life offered by the applications, products, and services
available to each digital citizen, drives the company towards the future and
influences all of the company's corporate decisions. This successful company has
its corporative offices in Las Vegas.
Where Is He Now: In 2002 Larry was invited by the Department of Commerce in
Washington D.C. to sit on the emerging technology board.
Larry still enjoys studying international military strategists, working with new
compression algorithms, collecting French Burgundy wines or its counterpart,
California Pinot Noirs, and staying up with the technology of re-configurable
computers and field programmable gate arrays. He is articulate, intelligent and
completely candid in his interviews, and a fascinating and rich subject for
anyone interested in a deeper conversation about philosophy, television history,
Vietnam, manhood, ethics, or simply the story of a very introspective, sensitive
and gracious leader who has refused to let fame or celebrity get in the way of
hard work, discipline, integrity and success.
Larry spends most of his time in a ranch in San Fernando Valley, California.
From there he
runs his company UC HUB Group, Inc. (their corporative offices are in Las Vegas)
and enjoys the company of her wife and sons.Website:
