She is known for her role as the teenage babysitter, Annie Brackett, in John Carpenter's 1978 horror classic slasher film Halloween.
Family Life:
Kyes was married to producer, screenwriter and director Tommy Lee Wallace, with whom she has two children. They are divorced.

Kyes began her career with a role as Julie in the 1976 thriller Assault on Precinct 13. She found fame in 1978 when she was cast as teenage babysitter Annie Brackett in John Carpenter's slasher Halloween.
She also served as the wardrobe mistress on the film, but used a different name for the film credits ("Louise Kyes" for the wardrobe mistress credit and "Nancy Loomis" for her acting credit).
She starred in the 1980 horror film The Fog, and also briefly appeared in both Halloween II (1981) and Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982).
Trivia:
Attended high school in Riverside, California and studied theatre at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
