She was married to British actor Simon MacCorkindale from October 5, 1984 until his death from cancer on October 14, 2010.

George has acted since the age of four. She trained at the Stage School and Corona Theatre School. She became typecast in the early 1970s for her provocative and sometimes controversial roles. Aside from film, she has also appeared on television, and tried her hand at producing.
Trivia:
Chosen by Empire magazine in 1995 as one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in film history (#72).
Where Are They Now:
George breeds Arabian horses and has a stud farm called Georgian Arabians that she formed with her late husband. In 2007, she was featured in Horse & Hound magazine, in the "Talk Yourself Horse" page.
