Review: Facing the cancellation of his hit reality TV show, bounty hunter Boone (John Hennigan) attempts to bring down a drug empire to boost ratings. After capturing drug dealer Ryan Davenport (Jonathan Lipnicki) in a small-town in Mexico, Boone and his crew get more than they bargained for when Ryan's father Cole (Richard Tyson) becomes hellbent on retrieving his son and preserving his drug operation. Boone: The Bounty Hunter was a joy to watch. This movie is a B-level movie on its surface, but I applaud the cast and writers for making a movie that had great pacing and a fun, suspenseful plot. John Hennigan does a great job as Boone, incorporating his parkour skills and playing the role with charisma and a welcomed sense of humor. While most may recognize Hennigan as Impact Wrestling's World Champion, or from CBS reality show Survivor: David vs. Goliath, I think he did a commendable job as the star of this film. I was pleasantly surprised by this film, and I think it's a prime example of the age old phrase, "Don't judge a book by its cover." This movie won't win any major awards, but I think it's definitely worth your time if you're ever in the mood for a silly, entertaining action comedy.

Fun Fact: John Hennigan sold his "dream house" and cut his personal budget, so he could self-fund the completion of the film.
