Review: When the members of the Teen Titans, Robin (Scott Menville), Cyborg (Khary Payton), Raven (Tara Strong), Starfire (Hynden Walch) and Beast Boy (Greg Cipes), are kidnapped by the Master of Games (Rhys Darby) and forced to engage in the Tournament of Titans they come face-to-face with their most closely matched opponents, the biggest difference being height, the Teen Titans. Are you prepared for the toughest Titan-on-Titan combat imaginable? Then get into a fighting stance, ball-up those baby hands, and prepare for Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans.

As I stated in my Teen Titans Go! To the Movies review, that the tone, humor, and creativity of the Teen Titans Go! animated TV series on Cartoon Network was the same as in the movie version, but because it's feature length, it can tackle a heftier plot while enjoying the occasionally detour to a joyously silly subplot or non-sequitur visual joke. And in Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans it does the very same thing, but this time around it tackles much deeper elements about fathers and daughters, identity, and teamwork.

Things really get going when two villainous Trigons, Raven's Pops, from two different dimensions, try to gain control of Teen Titans Go! Raven's evil demon-side, it's up to the Teen Titans, and the Teen Titans, to save her, her inner demon, and all Titans across infinite dimensions. Sounds epic, right? Oh, it is!

The best part of the movie is how the Titans interact with the other Titans. The Teen Titans Go! Titans are more silly, self-involved, distracted, very non-superhero-like Titans where the Teen Titans Titans are more serious, determined, stoic, brave, and goal oriented Titans...Titans! They are the exact same characters, same basic look, and the same voice actors, but each version has their own unique tone which makes them total different, if that makes any sense.

My favorite scene is when the Titans and the Titans have to travel to the North Pole and sneak into Santa's workshop to retrieve the Worlogog, the MacGuffin that allows our heroes and villains to gain access to limitless dimensions. This sequence puts a whole new spin on Ol' Saint Nick, and it's hilarious! Watch out for those reindeer, too.

If you enjoy Teen Titans Go! and Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, you'll be giggling with joy at this clever crossover. Current fans and folks that are yet to be fans are sure to have a blast! Come for the Teen Titans. Stay for the Teens Titans Go! It's a battle for the ages!

Fun Fact: Scott Menville, Tara Strong, Khary Payton, Hynden Walch, Greg Cipes, and Kevin Michael Richardson all did double duty, voicing both the Teen Titans (2003) and Teen Titans Go! (2013) versions of the characters.
