Movie Title: Wedding Crashers
Writer: Steve Faber, Bob Fisher
Starring: Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Christopher Walken, Rachel McAdams, Isla Fisher, Bradley Cooper, Jane Seymour
Review: Jeremy (Vince Vaughn) and John (Owen Wilson) are divorce mediators who spend their free time crashing wedding receptions. For the irrepressible duo, there are few better ways to drink for free and bed vulnerable women. So when Secretary of the Treasury William Cleary (Christopher Walken) announces the wedding of his daughter, the pair make it their mission to crash the high-profile event. But their game hits a bump in the road when John locks eyes with bridesmaid Claire (Rachel McAdams).
Wedding Crashers is one of my favorite comedy films because I think it toes the line perfectly between heartwarming fun and raunchy, crude humor. The premise that these two guys crash weddings to try and hook up with women is despicable, but when you see the story unfold, there's actually a lot of heart to it. You have the age old love story where the playboy meets the girl who makes him want to change his ways. This movie also has an all-star cast, and the banter between Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn is hilarious. Isla Fisher is fantastic as well, providing a lot of priceless moments as the crazy girl that you can't help but love. Take all that, and add a dash of Christopher Walken and you have yourself a wonderful, feel-good comedy. I love comedies that I can laugh at over and over again no matter how many times I've watched them. Comfort cinema viewing at its finest. Wedding Crashers definitely falls into that category and I cannot recommend it enough!
Fun Fact: When Christopher Walken and Rachel McAdams are dancing at the engagement party, Walken kept saying "fart" to keep McAdams smiling after dancing had become quite repetitive.
